Terms of use: Joystickd is provided for personal, non-commercial use. You are responsible for the content you post. Content that violates these guidelines may be removed by moderators, and repeated or serious abuse may result in account termination. Objectionable content can be reported in-app (⚑ Report) and abusive users can be blocked from their profile; reports are reviewed by moderation.
Community guidelines — Joystickd is for talking about games with people who love them. Keep it that way:
Breaking these can get content removed or an account closed. Use the Report option on any review or comment to flag a problem.
What Joystickd stores: your email address and password (handled by our database provider, Supabase — we never see your password), your username, optional profile picture and bio, and everything you create here: logs, ratings, reviews, comments, likes, follows, award ballots and wishlist entries.
Notifications: if you turn them on in the iOS app, we also store your device's push token so Apple can deliver notifications to your phone. Signing out or deleting the app stops them.
Data sources: game details and artwork come from IGDB; critic scores from OpenCritic.
What we don't do: no ads, no selling or sharing your data, no tracking beyond what's needed to run the site. Emails are only used for sign-in, confirmation and password resets.
Who can see what: your profile, logs, reviews and comments are public. Your email is never shown to anyone.
Deleting your account (Settings → Delete my account) permanently removes your account and everything you've posted. This can't be undone.
This permanently deletes your account and everything attached to it — your logs, ratings, reviews, comments, platinum history, follows, ballots and wishlist. There is no undo and no recovery.
